This tournament had 33 kids participating and they all deserve a big round of applause. A lot of these young people only
started shooting outdoors this year. The kids from Saltspring Island only started shooting indoors 3 weeks ago and the
night before the competition was the first time most of these kids shot outdoors. They deserve a medal just for hanging in
even if they didn't hit the target all the time. I hope to see them earn some of their badges in the next few months.
The scores in bold are new JOP Outdoor records for age, gender and equipment classes. Cowichan Bowmen did an
exellent job putting on this tournament. I had hoped to see a lot more kids from the Lower Mainland shoot this tournament
but maybe next year. Thanks to all who helped to make this a good shoot for our young archers.
